Elizabeth Casimiro
Elizabeth grew up in North Carolina, where she first discovered her love of art. She continued her studies at Columbia University, with classes in portraiture and drawing in New York City’s finest museums. After a successful career as an attorney in the U.S. and internationally, she has returned to art, her true passion and calling.
Elizabeth’s work focuses primarily on commissioned portraiture where she uses a variety of mediums to create realistic works of art that capture the essence of her subjects. Hello Sun is her first foray into children’s book illustrations. Her own experiences playing outside as a child and her family’s outdoor adventures inspired her to illustrate Hello Sun and helped her bring the creatures and splendor of the natural world to life.
Elizabeth currently lives in Oregon with her husband and 3 children.
